Guest Speaker Ben Hampton

On 15 December 2015, Ben Hampton will jump on his bicycle and set off on a 1,850 kilometre ride to Byron Bay to raise money for Suicide Prevention Australia. For the following 16 days, Ben will call the saddle of his bike home as he rides across two states before arriving at his destination on New Years Eve. Club Notes Rd 13

The Oxford Dictionary defines a coach as ‘an instructor or trainer in sport’.

However as we all know, coaches are so much more. They are mentors, motivators, leaders, and friends.

Last week, the football world lost a friend through the death of Adelaide Crows coach, Phil Walsh. Although it was a sad weekend, it was also a weekend for every club to feel proud of the community it shares, as we all linked arms for a minute’s silence.

The football community is one we are all proud to belong.

The Noble Park Football Club rallied around our opposition last weekend too, with a donation of $1000 given to South Croydon to help their fundraising efforts helping their trainer Monique, as she recovers from a major car accident.

Football is full of highs: goals, match records, premierships, but it also full of lows, as we have seen last week.

But from the coaches to players to trainers, and everyone in between, the football community is full of wonderful people, mentors, friends
