Anti-bullying policy for Noble Park Football Club Statement of Intent

We at the Noble Park Football Club are committed to providing a caring, friendly and safe environment for all of our members, so they can participate in football in a relaxed and secure atmosphere.
Bullying of any kind is unacceptable at our club.
If bullying does occur, all club members should be able to tell and know that incidents will be dealt with promptly and effectively. We are a TELLING club. This means that anyone who knows that bullying is happening is expected to tell a committee member.

Procedures
1. Report bullying incidents to a member of the clubs committee, who will then pass the issue over to the complaints officer.

2. The bullying behaviour or threats of bullying must be investigated whether this be a player, staff or supporter.

3. The perpetrator will be asked to come into a meeting to discuss the problems/ issues. If a player under 18, parents should be informed and both parent and child asked to attend a meeting to discuss the problems/issues.

4. An attempt will be made to help the bully (bullies) change their behaviour.

5. If mediation fails and the bullying is seen to continue, the club will initiate disciplinary action.

6. In cases of serious bullying, the incidents will be referred to the appropriate body. If necessary and appropriate, police will be consulted, but this will only be appropriate in the most serious of cases.
